The pattern behind the list
Look at the last digit of each answer. From 27 × 1 to 27 × 10 it goes like this, and then the same pattern repeats every ten facts all the way up to 27 × 30:
- 7
- 4
- 1
- 8
- 5
- 2
- 9
- 6
- 3
- 0
Working out big facts
You do not need to learn all 30 facts by heart. Use the method for the 27 times table instead: Split 27 into 20 and 7: work out the 20s and the 7s, then add them.
Split 27 into 20 and 7. 20 × 30 = 600 and 7 × 30 = 210, so 27 × 30 = 600 + 210 = 810.
27 × 30 = 600 + 210 = 810
