The pattern behind the list
Look at the last digit of each answer. From 15 × 1 to 15 × 10 it goes like this, and then the same pattern repeats every ten facts all the way up to 15 × 30:
- 5
- 0
- 5
- 0
- 5
- 0
- 5
- 0
- 5
- 0
Working out big facts
You do not need to learn all 30 facts by heart. Use the method for the 15 times table instead: Split 15 into 10 and 5: work out the 10s and the 5s, then add them.
Split 15 into 10 and 5. 10 × 30 = 300 and 5 × 30 = 150, so 15 × 30 = 300 + 150 = 450.
15 × 30 = 300 + 150 = 450
