The pattern behind the list
Look at the last digit of each answer. From 26 × 1 to 26 × 10 it goes like this, and then the same pattern repeats every ten facts all the way up to 26 × 150:
- 6
- 2
- 8
- 4
- 0
- 6
- 2
- 8
- 4
- 0
Working out big facts
You do not need to learn all 150 facts by heart. Use the method for the 26 times table instead: Split 26 into 20 and 6: work out the 20s and the 6s, then add them.
Split 26 into 20 and 6. 20 × 150 = 3000 and 6 × 150 = 900, so 26 × 150 = 3000 + 900 = 3900.
26 × 150 = 3000 + 900 = 3900
