The pattern behind the list
Look at the last digit of each answer. From 12 × 1 to 12 × 10 it goes like this, and then the same pattern repeats every ten facts all the way up to 12 × 150:
- 2
- 4
- 6
- 8
- 0
- 2
- 4
- 6
- 8
- 0
Working out big facts
You do not need to learn all 150 facts by heart. Use the method for the 12 times table instead: Split 12 into 10 and 2: work out the 10s and the 2s, then add them.
Split 12 into 10 and 2. 10 × 150 = 1500 and 2 × 150 = 300, so 12 × 150 = 1500 + 300 = 1800.
12 × 150 = 1500 + 300 = 1800
