The pattern behind the list
Look at the last digit of each answer. From 13 × 1 to 13 × 10 it goes like this, and then the same pattern repeats every ten facts all the way up to 13 × 200:
- 3
- 6
- 9
- 2
- 5
- 8
- 1
- 4
- 7
- 0
Working out big facts
You do not need to learn all 200 facts by heart. Use the method for the 13 times table instead: Split 13 into 10 and 3: work out the 10s and the 3s, then add them.
Split 13 into 10 and 3. 10 × 200 = 2000 and 3 × 200 = 600, so 13 × 200 = 2000 + 600 = 2600.
13 × 200 = 2000 + 600 = 2600
